Young Mr. Lü lived in a shared dormitory at University and out on the enclosed balcony he had built a cupboard mews for his female sparrow hawk.
He flew her almost everyday and here was her place of rest and quite.

It reminded me of my own schooldays, although my school was a day school, I too took my hawk to school with me.

As a youngster you have all of your free time to dedicate to your hawk without other responsibilities making demands on that time. For me as a teenager I was able to concentrate so much time with my first Golden Eagle to make the relationship a success.

The timing was right and it forged my continued direction with eagles and with it steered the path of my life to date.
